New Castle Electric
Born in New Castle, New South Wales, Australia, Geoff Robson
followed his father, a master builder, into the business,
becoming an Apprentice Electrician at 16. Not long after,
he took his first trip to North America. As a journeyman
electrician and an avid skier, Geoff found Montana in the
mid 1980s. He found his wife, Marilyn, a Kalispell transplant
living in Washington state a few years later, and the rest, as
they say, is history.
Now a master electrician with 31 years of experience, Geoff
opened New Castle Electric in 1999. He says his habit of
carrying a broom in the back of his pickup—to clean up behind
his day’s work—amazed general contractors who gave him the
nickname “the broom guy.” It’s a moniker that also earned
him quite a bit of work, he says.
His work ethic comes from his father. And if there’s a company
philosophy, it includes paying strict attention to detail and
safety, keeping the Client in constant communication as the
project progresses, and staying true to schedules and budgets.
The New Castle crew embodies these fundamentals. Supervisors predominantly have 20 plus years of experience, and three are former military men. Additionally, each month the New Castle crew gathers for safety meetings, and continuing education is encouraged and supported for all.
If you ask the people of New Castle Electric, as they go about the task of wiring up the homes, businesses, and industries of Columbia Falls and the Flathead Valley, they’ll tell you: A lot of job satisfaction comes from working in some of most beautiful country in the world.
And, if you’re ready to “wire up,” they’re ready to make your day as well, Mate.
